Gabriel’s business idea was fuelled by the goal to establish a truly niche PERFUMER BRAND, really niche in perfumery, managed by the perfumer himself and composed of a perfume collection that contains his unique olfactive signature with special, successful fragrance raw materials. Gabriel’s passion has become his choice of career, and the heart & soul of his company.

Gabriel strongly believes that one of the most important missions of haute perfumery is to re-establish and redefine the connection between the perfumer-creator and their connoisseur clients, collectors of olfactory arts. A masterfully composed perfume enhances one’s image and lifestyle, as well as it allows to connect the memories of the past with the feelings of the present, with all of that taking place on one’s skin. A great perfume is like a beautiful painting with harmonious colours, shapes and technique, or with a powerful expression of a certain message. We take art as a whole, and in the same way, we are also to enjoy the olfactive composition in its entirety, whilst surrendering to the magic of this precious and memorable moment.

LAUREL'S GOLDEN LEAVES

The brand DE GABOR Paris and the laurel leaves has been associated with victory and honor, symbolizing achievements and recognition, ethernity, nobel value, creativity, poetic inspiration and good luck. The physical appearance of the shiny laurel leaf also represents elegance, sophistication, luxury, strength in structure, reflecting the sunshine. The leaves of Bay Laurel as the perfumes are believed to possess protective and purifying properties, shielding against negativity and promoting positive energy.  Bay Laurel  leaves are burnt as incense in the Mediterranean region.

  • According to legend, the nymph Daphne metamorphosed into a laurel tree to escape the advances of the solar god Apollo. Consequently, laurel symbolized glory, and it is now an emblem of triumph. In ancient times, laurel was also a sacredinspirational plant for poets. Today, laurel is utilized for its benefits and aromatherapy virtues, as well as in perfumery. From the very beginning, the laurel leaf has been more than just a  personal symbol for Gabriel Gabor;

  • It's been a constant companion on his fragrant journey and his career.The green laurel leaf was his symbol in kindergarten. The laurel leaf oil was one of the first essential oils of the first perfume laboratory of Gabriel Gabor perfumer. The identification of the essential oil of  laurel leaf during the numerous blind tests during the selection process of the Grasse Institute of Perfumery - Perfumer course.

  • The first package of shipment of the perfume bottles was covered by laurel leaves, delivered next to a plant of laurel, representing the success of numerous years of creative work as perfumer. Even a crown of laurel, gifted by a perfume enthousiast admirer at Esxence Milan niche perfume exhibition, dedicated as a poignant reminder of the impact of his creations. The laurel leaf, a consistent thread, weaves through Gabriel Gabor's story, representing not just success, but the enduring power of passion and the beautiful realization of a lifelong dream.
